Sel Gris is a rustic, mineral-rich sea salt harvested from the clay-lined salt ponds of Guérande, France. Its soft gray hue and moist, coarse crystals are a result of traditional solar evaporation methods that preserve its natural minerals. Unlike dry salts, Sel Gris retains moisture, allowing it to infuse dishes with a briny, earthy flavor rather than merely seasoning them. This makes it ideal as both a cooking and finishing salt. Its versatility shines on everything from roasted vegetables and grilled meats to fresh fruit and even desserts like caramel or chocolate. Each 2oz jar contains approximately 100 pinches, offering a generous supply for your culinary adventures.
